The Mahindra Group tries every day to live the philosophy of Rise. And nowhere is the spirit more clearly visible in action than in the K.C. Mahindra Education Trust. The Trust has been helping people to Rise, long before we articulated that word as our driving principle. So the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the KCMET is a momentous occasion indeed.
This 60th Anniversary is also a time for expressing our heartfelt thanks to those who have made a difference at the grassroot levels. Kudos to our Nanhi Kali Community Associates and Champions who work tirelessly notwithstanding the challenging environment in urban slums, or even remote parts of rural and tribal India.
I must also personally thank the faculty at the Mahindra Pride School. For them, their work is not a job but a mission. It requires tremendous passion, dedication and perseverance to mould an individual in 90 days. They not only impart skill for employment but groom underprivileged youngsters into confident and articulate individuals.
The success of our various scholarship programmes is attributable to the efforts of volunteers and interns who help us in the stringent screening process and a strong interview panel that supports us through the gruelling two days of interviews. I will always be grateful to them for giving their valuable time to help others Rise for Good.
Ultimately it is people who make the KCMET a powerful force for change. Thank you for pushing horizons and being with us on this journey.
